Trinidad American Rapper Gets Spot On New Kanye Album

According to BET`s executive vice-president Stephen Hill, who got to hear four songs from the album, `He`s got a track with Nicki Minaj that`s so dope. You won`t believe it when you hear it.`

Minaj picked up wins for Best New Artist, Best  Female Hip Hop Artist and Best Group, for her part in the Lil Wayne spearheaded Young Money at Sunday night`s 2010 BET Awards.

The singer, born Onika Tanya Maraj, signed to Young Money Entertainment with distribution from Universal Motown last August. She grew up in Queens, New York and is of mixed Afro-Trinidadian and Indo-Trinidadian descent.

According to Minaj, she grew-up in a home with an abusive father who drank alcohol, did drugs, and once tried to kill her mother by setting the house on fire. She graduated from LaGuardia High School in Manhattan where she studied singing and acting.

Minaj will release her untitled debut studio album in 2010, which will consist of the hit `Your Love.`
